CONGRATULATIONS to Loughinisland GAC’s Niall Flynn who has been shortlisted for the Young Sport Volunteer of the Year award in the local council’s sports awards which will take place in Newcastle next Thursday night.
Niall is one of the club’s young coaches and volunteers and this is due recognition for contribution to the club in recent years.
Club members are invited to attend and support Niall in the Slieve Donard Resort and Spa on the night. Broadcaster and journalist Claire McCollum will compere the event and Liverpool legend Bruce Grobbelaar will be guest speaker. Surely it will be a night not be be missed for Kopites to hear tales from the goalkeeper during the club’s glory years in the 1980s.
Anyone from the club wishing to attend please contact Seamus Fay or Gerry Morgan. Tickets are priced at £25 and will include food and refreshments. Alternatively, buy your tickets online at https://www.newrymournedown.org/nmd-sports-awards-2020
