Jacqui appointed new school liaison officer

A SEAFORDE woman has been appointed as Loughinisland GAC’s new school liaison officer.

Jacqui Rogan, a mum of two, has been tasked with creating a stronger link between the club and St Macartan’s Primary School in the village.

Club chairman Seamus Fay met principal Ms Audrey Watson recently to identify areas where the club could assist the school.

Jacqui has a strong sporting background having played rugby for Munster and was Harps GAA club secretary when she lived in New Zealand.

She is the member of the club’s Gaelic 4 Mothers and Others side and is part of a dedicated team of parents in the school’s PTFA.

Jacqui studied Sport and Recreation Management at the Institute of Techology Carlow and has the relevant skills and expertise to strengthen the links between Loughinisland GAC and local schools.

She is married to Loughinisland man Anthony Rogan and is mum to Harry and Lucy.

Good luck in your new role, Jacqui, from all in Loughinisland.
