Macartan Park reopens for team training

GATES have reopened again at Loughinisland GAC’s pitch for team training.

Players can train in groups of 30 but one metre social distancing rules still applies. Contact training is permitted as good practice, but players are advised to maintain social distance and only engage in contact training when necessary. 

Players must reconfirm health questionnaire on the day prior to coming to training. Covid supervisors can access records. 

The reconfirm can take time to get through to supervisors and parents are should reconfirm a couple hours before training.  

The senior men have started training this week along with the U17, U-15 and U13.5 boys and minor girls.

Next week, from Monday, July 6, the U-14, U12, U10 and U8 girls as well as the U11.5 boys.

On the week beginning July 13 the U9.5 and U7.5 boys will begin training at Macartan Park.

The teams consist of:

Minor boys: coaches Niall Flynn and Brendan Kearney, covid supervisor Brendan Kearney.

U-15 boys: coaches Chris Turley and Rory Mason, covid supervisor James McClements

U-13 boys: coaches: Ruairi O’Neill and Peter Kearney, covid supervisor James Campbell.

U-11.5 boys: coach Conor O’Toole, covid supervisors Aisling Mulholland and Maria McLaughlin.

U9.5 boys: coach Phil Hodge, covid supervisor, Michael Johnston

Minor girls: coaches Sean O’Hare and Eimear Murray, covid supervisor Louise Kearney.

U-14 girls: coaches Colm McAlarney and Bronagh Mason, covid supervisor Clodagh Morgan.

U-12 girls: coach Emma Gordon, covid supervisor Sarah Murray.

U-10 girls: coach Alan Molloy, covid supervisor Alan Molloy.

U-8 girls: coaches Lorraine Colgan and Sarah Colgan, covid supervisor Alan Molloy.

U-7.5 boys and girls: Jenny McLeigh, Orla Mason, Sophie Brown and Anthony Canavan, covid supervisors Hugh Cunningham and Pauline Russell.

Times for each team’s training session will be circulated through the appropriate WhatsApp groups.
